Established in 1969, the business has gone through several incarnations, culminating, in late 2007, in Showmost Group Limited, a company jointly owned by Lotus China Fund II L.P. and Starflash Investment Limited, obtaining the entire equity interests of all operation companies within the group who traded in the façade and cladding engineering sectors. The company officially became Far East Group Limited in April 2008.
Consequently, Far East Group Limited is a relatively new name, but with vast experience and expertise. Indeed, through its inspiration, passion and boundless imagination, the company is committed to regenerating the design realm by creating the most innovative curtain wall and façade engineering solutions for discerning clients around the globe.
It was as early as the 1980s that the company started to embark on curtain wall projects for commercial buildings in Hong Kong, successfully bringing in advanced technology for curtain wall design and installation from the United States. In 1986, it captured the entire market’s attention by completing Shanghai’s first curtain wall project for Union Building, a prestigious commercial property development.
With its exceptional achievements, incorporating some of the most cutting-edge design in the industry, Far East Group has become the signature of the curtain wall sector. Since 2004, the company has actively expanded geographically towards international markets, winning many prestigious landmark projects, including the world’s tallest tower, Burj Dubai; Venetian Macau-Resort-Hotel; Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino; City Centre Mandarin Oriental and Veer Towers projects in Las Vegas; 605 W. 4snd Street in New York; Trump International Hotel & Tower and Shangri-La in Toronto; and Costanera Centre in Santiago, Chile.
Working in the office, commercial, government, hospital, entertainment, hotel, resort, casino and residential sectors, Far East Group continues to inspire the world with its craftsmanship, with the organisation now encompassing Far East Aluminium Works Company Limited (undertaking Hong Kong projects), Netfortune Engineering Macau Limited (handling Macau projects), and Heng Fai Aluminium Products Factory in Shenzhen, with Chinese projects being managed by the company’s offices in Shenzhen and Shanghai. Far East Group also has operations throughout the world, including offices in Singapore, Dubai, Las Vegas, Toronto, and Santiago.
